Maison Moynat Paris
Moynat’s passion for excellence when it comes to even the smallest of details is second to none
Relaunched in 2012 by LVMH’s Bernard Arnault, more than 150 years after it was founded by Pauline Moynat, the renowned luggage maker Moynat is quietly gathering a loyal following as its timeless handcrafted bags are discovered by a new generation.
Elegance and attention to detail are hallmarks of the Moynat brand and these are reflected in the design of its flagship store where the circular design combines features such as multi-layered textured glass and washed French oak shelves to create a discreet and inviting in-store experience.
Moynat’s passion for excellence when it comes to even the smallest of details, be that in the 7mm spacing of the nails in the trunks or the concave design of a briefcase, is second to none. That’s why we were particularly proud to be invited by Curiosity, a multidisciplinary studio based in Tokyo, created by French designer Gwenael Nicolas, to contribute our expertise to creating a setting where tradition blends seamlessly with understated luxury and contemporary design.
